Scoot is the low-cost subsidiary carrier of our Alliance partner, Singapore Airlines. Scoot offer a no-frills flight experience for travellers seeking value. We have partnered with Scoot to give travellers more choices to access destinations across South East Asia and India.

There are some key things you should know about booking flights on Scoot. While amenities may differ, you will receive quality service from Scoot staff, with your safety being the number one priority.

Onboard experience

There are some differences in the Scoot onboard experience. 

Meals and beverages

  • Complementary meals/snacks and beverages will be provided on board your Scoot flight for NZ passengers. 
  • You can pre-select a meal before your flight
  • Scoot only offer vegetarian meals as an alternative special meal option

Inflight entertainment

  • Scoot's entertainment is delivered via ScootHub
  • We recommend you bring your own entertainment such as books, magazines or pre download movies and music to your personal device. 

Wifi

  • Is available for purchase on Boeing 787 Dreamliner only. 
  • 30mb of data is complimentary for ScootPlus passengers.

Travelling with Children 

Bassinets  

  • Bassinets are not available on Scoot operated flights. 
  • Infants must be at least eight days old to travel and must be travelling with an accompanying adult who is at least 18 years old.
  • Contact the Scoot Call Centre at least 3 days before your flight, to purchase a seat for an infant under 2 years old. This is subject to availability and an extra fee may apply. 

Collapsible strollers, prams and pushchairs

  • If you are travelling with an infant or children, you may carry on board a compact foldable light-weight stroller that meets Scoot's standard cabin bag dimensions. Prior to boarding, the stroller must be folded and securely packed into a carrier bag or protective cover. 

Cabin Baggage Policies for Infants

  • One additional item of cabin baggage, such as a diaper bag or baby carrier, is allowed for infants travelling without a seat. Only foldable light-weight strollers will not be counted towards cabin baggage. 

Unaccompanied Minors

  • Scoot does not accept bookings for unaccompanied minors. Children must travel with an accompanying adult.

Meals

  • Infant or children's meals are not available on Scoot flights.
